Our Services

ABA Therapy

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy at Embrace Autism is an evidence-based service designed to support children with autism in developing meaningful skills across home, school, and community settings. Services are individualized and guided by each child’s strengths, needs, and goals as outlined in their Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP).

Our ABA therapy focuses on improving communication, social interaction, adaptive skills, and behavior regulation through structured, data-driven interventions. Therapists use positive reinforcement, skill modeling, and individualized strategies to support learning in a supportive and engaging environment.

Progress is continuously monitored through data collection and ongoing clinical oversight to ensure interventions remain effective and responsive. ABA Therapy at Embrace Autism is delivered collaboratively, with input from supervisors and families, to promote consistency, generalization of skills, and meaningful, long-term outcomes for each child.

At Embrace Autism, we are committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care that supports the whole child and empowers every family. Our services are tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual we serve.

Family Training

Family Training services are designed to empower caregivers with the knowledge and skills needed to support their child’s development beyond therapy sessions. At Embrace Autism, we partner closely with families to provide education, coaching, and hands-on training that aligns with the child’s Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP).

Training focuses on practical strategies families can use during daily routines, including communication, behavior support, and skill-building activities. Caregivers receive individualized guidance to help reinforce therapy goals at home and in community settings.

Our approach emphasizes collaboration, cultural responsiveness, and caregiver confidence. By equipping families with effective tools and strategies, Family Training helps promote consistency across environments and supports long-term, sustainable progress for the child.

Observation and Direction

Observation and Direction services ensure that behavioral intervention services are delivered with fidelity, quality, and clinical oversight. At Embrace Autism, these services are provided by qualified supervisors who observe service delivery, review data, and provide guidance to ensure treatment is implemented according to the Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP).

Clinicians regularly observe sessions, assess progress toward treatment goals, and provide real-time feedback and direction to staff. This process helps ensure that interventions are effective, ethical, and responsive to the child’s evolving needs.

Observation and Direction also support staff development through coaching, modeling, and performance feedback. By maintaining consistent clinical oversight, we ensure services remain aligned with best practices and support meaningful outcomes for the child and family.

Care Coordination

Care Coordination services at Embrace Autism are designed to help families navigate the complex systems involved in their child’s care. We support families through the assessment, planning, and service delivery process to ensure that all services are aligned, timely, and responsive to the child’s needs.

Our care coordinators assist with scheduling and tracking required evaluations, including Comprehensive Multidisciplinary Evaluations (CMDEs), and support the development and implementation of the Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP). We help families understand service requirements, timelines, and authorizations, reducing barriers to accessing care.

We collaborate closely with clinicians, schools, case managers, and other providers to promote consistent communication and coordinated goals across settings. By serving as a central point of contact, Care Coordination helps ensure continuity of care, supports family engagement, and promotes positive, long-term outcomes for each child.

Who Is Eligible for EIDBI Services?

Embrace Autism provides services under Minnesota’s Early Intensive Developmental and Behavioral Intervention (EIDBI) benefit. Eligibility is determined according to Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) EIDBI standards.

To be eligible for EIDBI services, a child must:

  • Be under the age of 21

  • Be enrolled in Medical Assistance (MA)

  • Have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or a related developmental condition as defined by DHS

  • Have a current Comprehensive Multidisciplinary Evaluation (CMDE) completed within the last three years, or be referred for one

  • Demonstrate medical necessity for EIDBI services based on functional needs and evaluation results

Following an approved CMDE, an Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP) is developed by a qualified professional to outline recommended services, goals, and frequency. All services must be prior-authorized and delivered in accordance with DHS EIDBI guidelines.

Our team supports families throughout the eligibility and enrollment process, including assistance with evaluations, documentation, and coordination of required approvals.

How to Get Started with EIDBI Services

Step 1: Referral

A child under 21 with Medical Assistance and a suspected or confirmed autism diagnosis can be referred for EIDBI services. Referrals may come from a pediatrician, school, or parent/guardian.

Step 2: Comprehensive Multidisciplinary Evaluation (CMDE)

If the child does not have a current CMDE (within the last 3 years), our team will schedule one. The CMDE assesses developmental, behavioral, and functional needs to determine eligibility and guide treatment planning. This then will be submitted for authorization.

Step 3: Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP) Development

After the CMDE is approved, a qualified professional develops an ITP tailored to the child’s strengths, needs, and goals. The ITP specifies recommended services, goals, frequency, and duration of care. This then will be submitted for authorization

Step 4: Service Authorization & Start

Once the ITP is authorized ABA therapy, care coordination, family training, and observation & direction services can begin. Our team ensures seamless communication between families, clinicians, and other providers.
